We hold several specialty sales every year, as well as the Great American Book Sale, to raise funds to support the Erie County Public Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One bag or box may be brought to any branch or dropped off at the <a href=\"https:\/\/erielibraryfriends.org\/2021\/05\/04\/the-bayfront-bookshelf\/\">Bayfront Bookshelf<\/a>, the book store in the lobby of the Blasco Library.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At a book drive: The Friends hold 2 book drives every year in the spring and fall. You may drop off any amount of books. The drives are advertised on posters at the library, on this website, on <a href=\"https:\/\/erielibrary.org\/\">ErieLibrary.org<\/a>, and on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/EriePAFriendsOftheLibrary\">Facebook<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Otherwise, call the Blasco Library at 814-451-6900.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>How to Donate:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Best selling items are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New fiction, especially suspense and mystery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Children\u2019s Books<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Local History<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Books on CD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DVDs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Items we do not accept<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Encyclopedias<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reader\u2019s Digest condensed books<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Textbooks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Magazines, pamphlets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outdated technical books (5 years or older) such as law, medicine, computers, health<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multiple copies of the same title<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yellowed paperbacks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Books that are damaged \u2013 ripped, mildewed, underlined, with an odor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>VHS or cassette tapes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Friends of the Erie County Library accepts donations of gently used books, books on CD, music CDs, and DVDs.
